  • 31st July is celebrated as the birth anniversary of great novelist and storyteller Munshi Premchand who was born on 31st July 1880 in Lamhi village near Varanasi.
  • RBI imposed a total fine of Rs 26 lakh on two prepaid payment instrument (PPI) issuers Mobikwik Systems Private Limited(15 lakh) and Hip Bar Pvt Ltd (10.85 lakh) for non-compliance of regulatory guidelines.
