  • World Bamboo Day was observed on 18th September by the World Bamboo Organisation every year, to generate awareness about conservation and promotion of the bamboo industry which is known as poor man’s timber.
  • A Management Information System (MIS) portal has been developed by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to bring all the nodal ministries, and States/UTs on a single platform for monitoring the progress of the targets of Accessible India Campaign (AIC) which is for Divyangjans.
  • Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, has signed an agreement with IBM for carrying out a nationwide Train-the-Trainer (10,000 faculty members from ITIs) in Basic Artificial Intelligence Skills.
